Andy Callis joined the agency in 2006 after spending 7 years in Seattle working in the finance industry and later for PEMCO Insurance as a customer service representative. He is licensed as a Property & Casualty agent in the states of WA & OR and has obtained the special designation of ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative). Andy is the president of the agency and a commercial lines risk advisor, working with business owners and nonprofit agencies, as well as managing the agency’s marketing and general operations. Andy graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1999 and the University of WA in 2003 with a BA in Economics. Andy and his wife Amy have two daughters, Mya and Sadie. Passionate about the local community, Andy joined Nor’Wester Rotary and holds a board position of vocational service chair and is president elect for 2016. Andy is on the Port Angeles advisor board for Boys & Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula, and sits on two committees for the United Way of Clallam County. In his spare time Andy enjoys fishing, golfing, hiking, photography, savoring local wine, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
Julie Jeromchek is a 2nd generation Port Angeles native. She is a PAHS class of 1985 graduate and attended Peninsula College. She began her career at Callis Insurance in 1985 as a part time file clerk and now holds a Property/Casualty and Life/Disability license and is the personal lines manager and lead employee benefits advisor. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, home décor, making beach glass jewelry, and camping with her husband, Joe, and their lab, Jenni.
Gwyn Callis is a Seattle native who relocated to Port Angeles in 1977 with husband Steve when they purchased the Gordon Sandison Insurance Agency and renamed it to Callis Insurance. During the first years of ownership Gwyn worked in the background of the agency while also raising their two sons, Andy & AJ. Since 1997, she has served as office manager and bookkeeper and as well as filling a number of other positions when needed. She holds an active license for Property & Casualty in WA. Gwyn has been an active member of Soroptimist International of Port Angeles for over 25 years and served as president for two terms. Gwyn enjoys reading, browsing in antique stores, crabbing for Dungeness crab, and spending time with her two granddaughters, Mya and Sadie.
Erika Kerschner joined our agency in 2013. As one of our newest licensed agents, she brings with her a diverse array of experience in the insurance and financial industries reaching back to 1989 when she first began her career in insurance. Currently licensed in Life/Health and Property/Casualty license. She is our resident health exchange expert and AFLAC guru. As a busy mother of 5, Erika and her husband enjoy spending their family time together in the great outdoors of the northwest, and making their annual trip down to the Oregon coast for some rest and relaxation. However, each spring you will always find them on the baseball fields. It is a family event with everyone involved! Customer care has always been very important to Erika and she looks forward to getting to know the customers of Callis Insurance.
Angela Kemp is a NW native and has been in the insurance industry for the last 18 years. She has recently joined Callis Insurance to head up the new Bremerton office and looks forward to meeting all of the clients and providing excellent customer service for many years to come. Her past knowledge base has been mainly focused on personal insurance such as home and auto, and with the new position she is excited to learn the ins and outs of commercial insurance as well. She is also studying to get her Life/Disability License.
Angela grew up in Mountlake Terrace, WA, and graduated in 1983. She then moved to the Kitsap Peninsula in 2000 and now calls Port Orchard her home. Angela has a grown daughter and in her spare time enjoys weekend get-a-ways, concerts, community celebrations, and the occasional softball game. Angela has been a Seattle Seahawk fan since early 80s and rarely misses a televised game. Go Hawks!
Mary Patzman joined the agency in 2016 to work with our Commercial Insurance clients. She has spent her career in the insurance industry with an emphasis on Employee Benefit plans and Human Resources, and she has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources. She is currently in the process of renewing both her Property & Casualty and Life and Disability insurance licenses. Mary grew up spending weekends and vacations on the Olympic Peninsula and is happy that she is now calling Port Angeles home. Mary brings strong customer service skills to the agency along with a great sense of humor.
Heather Bruch joined the agency in July 2016 and serves as an Executive Assistant and Receptionist. She was born and raised in Port Angeles. She grew up going on countless outdoor adventures with her dad, Gordon; from backpacking and snowboarding to dirt biking. Heather graduated from PAHS in 2007 and has recently received her Associates Degree from Peninsula College. Heather and her boyfriend, Pat, have recently bought a house in Port Angeles, which is now run by their crazy Bengal kitty, Stripes Jr. She also has two younger brothers, Ryan and Dawson, who she loves bragging about and considers them to be like her own children. In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with Pat, reading, hiking, watching scary movies, and since childhood, has dreams of traveling to Paris. She is more than excited to begin her career here at Callis & Associates Insurance.
Alicia Brown joined the team in June 2015 as an Executive Assistant and Receptionist. Alicia obtained her Property & Casualty insurance in the summer of 2016 and she is extremely excited to work with our personal lines clients. She is a longtime resident of Sequim and graduated Sequim High School in 2010. Alicia has been involved in various Sequim community charities over the years, including the Auxiliary for the VFW, The Boys and Girls Club Annual Auction, as well as helping to collect donations to deliver to the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society. She recently hosted a dinner on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Sequim VFW for local first responders in which most of our office and spouses attended to serve food, wash dishes, and help Alicia feed 100 people. She enjoys traveling, walks on the beach, hiking, and being involved in the veteran’s community. Alicia has already proven to be an asset to our office and provides efficient and friendly customer service. We are very pleased to have her as part of the team.
